The Identity Project was featured this week in the Ashoka Start Empathy Newsletter, showcasing its innovative partnership with Changemaker School, Maury Elementary in Washington D.C.
Jurors Phillip S. Block, Ed Kashi, and Karen Sinsheimer singeled out Alesandra noting: "Her photographs — or more accurately re-photographs of student portraits incorporating individual handwritten texts — are both meaningful and artful. Her layered work possesses a unique combination of artistic expression, emotion and personal stories."
